These two are in their 60s, proving that love has no timeline. Their ceremony beneath the towering red rock formations of Double Arch was emotional, joyful, and full of personal touches that made it completely them. David is a proud veteran and retired fireman, and Tami is a retired nurse. Together, they’ve served countless people—and now, they’re serving up major inspiration with a love that’s strong, playful, and deeply rooted.
The Wedding Ceremony at the Double Arch

All you need is a permit from the National Park Service, which you can request in advance online. Double Arch is one of the most dramatic and photogenic spots in the park, and it offers the perfect backdrop for an intimate, meaningful elopement like David and Tami’s.

Tami wore a stunning boho lace gown with dramatic sleeves that caught the desert breeze perfectly. Her style felt effortlessly romantic against the red rock landscape. David wore a classic black suit with his medallions proudly displayed, a subtle but powerful nod to his service.
After the ceremony, they shared a cake cutting (yes, even in the desert!) and celebrated with champagne—first poured, then sprayed with total abandon. David even picked Tami up in a full fireman’s carry, and the laughter that followed might be my favorite moment from the whole day.
