Kristin and Ty’s engagement session at Mt Nebo Utah was a dream from start to finish. This beautiful mountain range in central Utah offers some of the most underrated views in the state—and it’s one of my favorite places to photograph adventurous, down-to-earth couples like these two.
Casual, Comfortable Outfits for a Laid-Back Feel
One of the things I loved most about this session was how true to themselves Kristin and Ty were. They showed up in cozy, casual outfits that perfectly matched the vibe of the location. Kristin wore a classic white short-sleeve top and jeans, while Ty wore a flannel shirt and denim—an effortlessly cool and timeless combo.
Their choice of outfits allowed them to move freely and just be themselves, whether that meant snuggling up in the field or laughing together at the overlook. This kind of authenticity always shines through in photos and makes sessions feel so relaxed and meaningful.
Wildflowers and Fields at the Base of Nebo Mountain Utah
We began their engagement session in a wide open field surrounded by tall grass and wildflowers at the base of Nebo Mountain Utah. The summer wildflowers were blooming, adding pops of yellow and purple throughout the landscape. The way the soft breeze moved through the grass created such a romantic, peaceful backdrop—it felt like something out of a storybook.
The light in this area was golden and soft, wrapping around them in the most flattering way. These shots were some of my favorites because they really captured the quiet, joyful connection between Kristin and Ty.
Overlook Views That Take Your Breath Away
As golden hour approached, we made the drive up to one of Mt. Nebo’s most scenic overlooks—and wow, it did not disappoint. The view stretched for miles: jagged peaks, endless ridgelines, and layers of mountains fading into the distance. It was the kind of view that makes you pause and soak it all in.
Kristin and Ty stood hand-in-hand at the edge, silhouetted against the stunning landscape. The sky turned pastel behind them, and the mountains lit up with the soft glow of sunset. It was peaceful, epic, and incredibly romantic all at once.
