Snowpine Lodge Wedding | Rain & Nevada’s Elegant Mountain Wedding in Alta, Utah
If you’re dreaming of a Snowpine Lodge wedding, Rain and Nevada’s celebration is the perfect example of why this luxury mountain venue is one of the most beautiful places to get married in Utah. Nestled in the heart of Little Cottonwood Canyon in Alta, Snowpine Lodge combines breathtaking alpine scenery with upscale amenities, making it an incredible choice for couples who want an unforgettable mountain wedding.
Rain and Nevada planned a timeless celebration featuring a sophisticated burgundy, black, and white color palette. Their day perfectly blended elegant details with the natural beauty of the Wasatch Mountains, creating a wedding that felt both luxurious and deeply personal.

Why Choose Snowpine Lodge for Your Wedding?
A Snowpine Lodge wedding offers some of the most stunning mountain views in Utah. Located just outside Salt Lake City in Alta, the venue overlooks towering pine trees and rugged mountain peaks, giving couples incredible scenery without requiring a long drive into the backcountry.
One of the biggest advantages of getting married at Snowpine Lodge is that every part of the wedding day flows effortlessly. Couples can host an outdoor ceremony, enjoy cocktail hour on the scenic deck, and then move inside for an elegant reception—all without ever leaving the property.

A Romantic Outdoor Ceremony with Mountain Views
Rain and Nevada exchanged vows outdoors surrounded by the breathtaking mountain landscape that makes Snowpine Lodge weddings so iconic. The ceremony site overlooks towering pine trees with dramatic canyon views stretching into the distance, creating an unforgettable backdrop for their “I do’s.”
Instead of having a bridal party, the couple chose to keep the focus entirely on each other. The simplicity of the ceremony allowed every meaningful moment to shine while the surrounding scenery provided all the beauty they could have asked for.
Their classic color palette of rich burgundy paired beautifully with the natural greens of the canyon, creating a striking contrast against the mountain landscape.

Timeless Wedding Style
Rain looked absolutely stunning in a classic white ball gown featuring a unique floral detail at the hip that added just the right amount of modern elegance. Her timeless bridal look perfectly complemented the luxurious mountain setting.
Nevada wore a sharp black tuxedo with a black bow tie, creating a sophisticated look that fit seamlessly with the couple’s elegant black-and-white wedding aesthetic.
One of my favorite parts of the day was photographing the two of them together immediately following the ceremony. Since Snowpine Lodge’s ceremony location is already surrounded by incredible scenery, we were able to capture all of their bride and groom portraits without traveling anywhere else. The mountain backdrop, tall evergreens, and soft alpine light created portraits that truly showcase why Snowpine Lodge is one of Utah’s best wedding venues.

Cocktail Hour on Snowpine Lodge’s Scenic Deck
After the ceremony, guests made their way to the outdoor deck for cocktail hour while enjoying panoramic views of Little Cottonwood Canyon. The relaxed atmosphere allowed everyone to soak in the mountain air while celebrating with the newlyweds.
One of the best features of a Snowpine Lodge wedding venue is how naturally every event transitions from one space to another. Guests never miss out on the scenery, whether they’re outside enjoying cocktails or inside celebrating the reception.

An Emotional Reception Filled with Meaningful Moments
The reception moved indoors where family and friends gathered for dinner and heartfelt toasts. As loved ones shared stories about the couple, both Rain and Nevada were brought to happy tears. These emotional speeches became some of the most memorable moments of the evening and reflected just how loved they are by everyone around them.
The couple shares a unique love story through aviation—Rain is a flight attendant and Nevada is a pilot. Their careers have taken them around the world, but this beautiful mountain wedding brought everyone they love together in one unforgettable place.

Cake Cutting, First Dance & An Epic Dance Party
Following dinner, Rain and Nevada cut their wedding cake before taking the dance floor for a beautifully choreographed first dance. It was clear they had spent time preparing for this moment, and their guests loved every second of it.
Then came one of the biggest surprises of the night.
Rain disappeared for a quick outfit change and returned wearing a sparkling silver sequined mini dress that instantly transformed the atmosphere from elegant reception to full-on celebration.
From that point forward, the dance floor stayed packed for the rest of the evening. Guests danced nonstop while enjoying the open bar, creating an incredible party atmosphere that perfectly reflected the couple’s fun personalities.
Around 10 p.m., sliders and fries made their appearance as a late-night snack, giving everyone the fuel they needed to keep dancing well into the night.
